Welcome to the website of the Austria Region of AIIC,
the International Association of Conference Interpreters.


AIIC is the only worldwide association of conference interpreters and has more than 3000 members in over 100 countries.

The Austria Region includes around 50 members, language professionals who ensure smooth communication which takes place across language barriers in contexts such as:

  • international organisations (UN, EU, OSCE etc.)
  • economic and political conferences
  • specialist congresses (law, science, technology etc.)
  • major sporting, art, and culture events
  • radio and television
  • press conferences
  • trade fairs
  • business negotiations
