Event Description:

Conference interpreters are a busy, globe-trotting group that is required to juggle so many tasks. Technology can help lessen the burden and make preparation for assignments faster and more organised. This one-day training session will cover the following core components:

- Paperless Preparation. How Computer-Aided Interpreting (CAI) tools, apps for document annotation, and online preparation resources can lighten the load for busy interpreters.

- Glossary Management. Practical training on a multi-faceted glossary organisation tool. Plus a free six-months license!

- Note digitisation. A review of apps and tools for digitising hand-written notes to easily search them and organise them for future reference.

- Apps and gadgets that facilitate an interpreter’s life on the go.

Participants will get an opportunity to try out the tools for themselves.

Elements of this training were offered to interpreters in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Panama, Argentina, USA, UK, Egypt, Brazil, China, France and Austria.

Participation Fee:

USD 100
